On 8 August 2019, the highest honour of the Brazilian government, the Ordem de Rio Branco (grade Official), was awarded to Martin Fogo Halász. This award was granted to him on a solemn occasion, in the name of the government and the president of the Federative Republic of Brazil, by H.E. Luíz Balduino.
Fogo has been presented with this honour for his long-time work through which he has managed to spread Brazilian culture in the whole country, as well as to expand it and help other generations.
